Routing Log Viewer in Exchange Server 2010

In earlier versions of Exchange, WinRoute utility was used to connect to the Microsoft Exchange Routing Engine over port 691. Since there is no more WinRoute utility in Exchange Server 2010, we can now use Route Log Viewer on the Hub Transport or the Edge Transport servers to know about routing topologies. We can also compare two different routing log files to discover changes occurred in the routing topology.
Routing log viewer collects log file with respect to:-
· Active Directory Sites and Routing Groups
· Exchange Servers, like their DN, roles installed, total cost, MDB availability etc.
· SMTP Connectors, foreign connectors, routing group connectors, smart hosts etc.
· Address Space
Routing Log Viewer can be opened from the Exchange Management Console > Toolbox > Routing Log Viewer.
