How to Move Recipients and Public Folders from Exchange Server 2007 to Exchange Server 2010

In this exercise, we will learn how to move Exchange Server 2007 specific objects to Exchange Server 2010 in the same forest. This exercise assumes that you have successfully transitioned from Exchange Server 2007 to Exchange Server 2010 in the same forest.
How to move Exchange Server 2010 Recipients from Exchange Server 2007 to Exchange Server 2010:-
1.  Go to the Exchange Server 2007 and open Exchange Management Console.
2.  Click on Recipient Configuration.
3.  In the details pane, you will see the list of recipients.
4.  To move any recipients to Exchange Server 2010, right-click on that objects and click on New Local Move Request option. You can also bulk move objects by selecting all of them.
5.  In the New Local Move Request window, click on Browse tab, and select Exchange 2010 server mailbox database and click Next.
6.  In the Move Option window, you can select either of the option for corrupted messages and click on Next.
7.  Once the move process is completed, click on Finish.
8. You will notice the mailbox icon has changed of the objects which we have moved.
How to Configure Public Folder Replication between Exchange Server 2007 and Exchange Server 2010
By default, public folders are not replicated after transition from Exchange Server 2007 to Exchange Server 2010. Here are the steps to know how public folders are configured for replication from Exchange Server 2007 to Exchange Server 2010.
1.  Open the Public Folder Management Console on Exchange Server 2007. You can also open it on Exchange Server 2010 and click on Connect with Exchange Server 2007.
2.  Expand Default Public Folders, or any other public folder where you want to configure replication.
3.  Open the Properties of any public folder from the detail pane.
4.  Click on Replication tab, then Add and select Exchange 2010 server.
5.  Click on Ok.
Replication will take some time depending upon the public folder size and server resources.
How to use Exchange Management Shell to add Public Folder Replicas
Go to the Exchange Server 2007 and open the PowerShell.
Enter the below command to add Exchange Server 2010 as public folder replica.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\Scripts\. .\AddReplicaToPFRecursive.ps1 -toppublicfolder \ -serveradd exch2010
Below command will move all public folders from Exchange Server 2007 to Exchange Server 2010
C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\Scripts\. .\MoveAllReplicas.ps1 -server exch07 -newserver exch2010
The above commands should be run to move all public folders to the Exchange Server 2010.
Once public folders are replicated to the Exchange Server 2010, you can change the default public folder database location in Exchange Server 2007 to Exchange Server 2010.
To do this:-
1.  Go to the Exchange Server 2007 and open the Exchange Management Console.
2.  Expand Organization Configuration and click on Mailbox.
3.  In the right-side, click on Database Management tab.
4.  Right-click on mailbox database and click on Properties.
5. Click on Client Settings tab.
6.  Click on Browse tab under Default public folder database and select the Exchange 2010 server as the new location.
7.  We can also change the location of Offline address book by right clicking on the Offline Address Book and click on Move.
8.  Click on Browse tab, select your Exchange 2010 server and click on Ok.
9.  Click on Move to start the moving process.
10.  Once move is successful, you will see the new generator server is now Exchange 2010 server.
