New Features in Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 2

Exchange team has recently announced for releasing Exchange Server 2010 SP2 in the second half of calendar year 2011. New features and capabilities will be included, which are as below:-

·         GAL Segmentation and Address Book Policies for segmenting address books into smaller scoped subsets of users providing more refined user experience. For more details, you can read the article published on TechNet Blog “GAL Segmentation, Exchange 2010 and Address Book Policies”.

·         Hybrid Configuration Wizard which allows organizations to have some mailboxes on on-premises and some are in Exchange Online with Microsoft Office 365.

·         Cross-Site Silent Redirection for Outlook Web App provides the ability to redirect OWA requests silently from one CAS to other CAS located in another Active Directory site. Silent redirection also provides single sign-on experience when Form-based authentication feature is enabled.

·         Mini-OWA Browser for low bandwidth and mobile devices by providing simple text based interface.
